As of April 27, Akayashio has reached full bloom at the summit park of Mt. Gozaisho.

The iconic pink flowers of Mt. Gozaisho, known as Akayashio (a rare wild azalea), have started blooming at the summit park!

This year is especially exciting — the bloom has arrived earlier than usual, and the number of flowers is exceptional.

In fact, this is considered a “peak year,” which only happens once every few years.

The flowers will continue to spread across the mountain, with the best viewing expected through early May.

Soon, the entire landscape will be covered in vibrant pink — a truly breathtaking sight.
