The iconic pink flowers of Mt. Gozaisho, known as Akayashio (a rare wild azalea), have started blooming at the summit park!

This year is especially exciting — the bloom has arrived earlier than usual, and the number of flowers is exceptional.

In fact, this is considered a “peak year,” which only happens once every few years.

The flowers will continue to spread across the mountain, with the best viewing expected through early May.
